Ginn has been fantastic his last two weeks (32.5 fantasy points in his last 2 games) and is now playing a last place Bears team. The Saints as always have been playing shootouts at home (55.3 combined PPG in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome this season). Couple that with Willie Snead (hamstring) questionable to play again this weekend and Ginn should be available to add in leagues as the No. 2 weapon this Sunday behind Michael Thomas. Expect Drew Brees to air it out, not just to Ginn, but to all the New Orleans healthy Wide Receivers. Ginn is a solid FLEX play this weekend.
In what could be the highest scoring matchup of the weekend, we’re going with the best receiver in this matchup, Keenan Allen. The Patriots have given up the 4th most fantasy points to Wide Receivers this season and Allen who has been just “okay” lately looks due for a big game. Allen is a terrific possession receiver but will he get in the end zone on Sunday? The Chargers’ No 1. option hasn’t scored a TD since Week 1 of the season in Denver. Now is the time for the 25-year old’s breakout game.
Anderson has scored double digit points in each of the last 2 weeks and a potential shootout vs the Falcons makes Anderson someone you want. Keep an eye out for who is set to cover Anderson this Sunday afternoon, if Anderson is being covered by someone that isn’t Pro-Bowl CB Desmond Trufant, he should be started this weekend. Should the Falcons put their No. 1 CB on Anderson than Jermaine Kearse is the Jet receiver to play. If Tight End Austin Seferian-Jenkins is available, he could be a player who could sneak into the end zone once or twice this weekend as well. (TD in each of the last 3 weeks)
This should come as a pretty big shock to the casual football fan but Josh McCown is playing some really good football right now. McCown has averaged around 24 PPG in his last 2 contests and now faces a Falcons defense that was torched in Foxboro last Sunday night. The Falcons defense has just 3 turnovers this year and with the Jets offense actually clicking, McCown and the Jets weapons should be looked at closely for what could be a shootout at Metlife Stadium.
